Social Networking
At this point, I've done a lot of reading about social networking. I have seen many programs offering hundreds of solutions that will acquire tens of thousands of followers. I am in the process of checking these out. I will do this, not only for myself but for you. Why should you spend your hard earned bucks trying to find the best system available only to find that some are scams, some are honest attempts that don't work, some may lessen your chances of getting followers and SOME may even get you kicked off Twitter or Face Book.
First things first if the Twitter Widget to the left appears broken or black, please log on to Adobe.com, download and install Flash Player and Shockwave Player. If you still can't see it, please click here to open Twitter in a new window and send me a personal message as well.
I love Twitter. I love NASA. Put the two together and I get to follow astronauts and other "Space Junkies" that share my common interest. That is too cool. Then, of course, like almost every other venue in the internet, the spammers show up. But is what they are saying untrue or just annoying? Haven't we all dreamed of that magic key that unlocks the internet for us; that allows us to find our thousands of customers that want what we are selling. That product that is easy to sell. (Trust me, a well planned and well executed website that will actually draw visitors and sales is not an accident and can't really be duplicated.)
Years ago, there was a local radio program that had a "Peanut Gallery". If any of you are old enough to remember Howdy Doody on TV back in the '50s, the "Peanut Gallery" was a set of bleachers full of kids who would cheer, clap and laugh at the antics of Buffalo Bob, Clarabelle the Clown and a miriad of puppets including Howdy himself. This radio show borrowed the peanut gallery concept and had some laugh tracks, booing tracks, applause etc. The hosts would often make a joke or statement to which the imaginary peanut gallery would respond.
I liked the Peanut Gallery. I wanted the Peanut Gallery to be real. My logical mind said it wasn't but my imagination could picture those people sitting there applauding, cheering and jeering Ron and Terry. Each of us that ever tried to make a living on the Internet has wanted those "Wealth Building" programs to be real. With the advent of Twitter and other "social networking" sites, it's time for me to give them another invesitgation. I want to know if they are real like the kids on Howdy Doody or are they more like the laugh track on my local radio program.
As of now, I am not recommending anything. I can't say they are all scams. I haven't tried all of them. I can't say any of them work. I haven't found one that does. But I am going to look. I will report my progress as I do. I may even recommend them. I'm still working through how I will be an impartial judge, reporting my findings to you when the program is telling me I will make $25,000 this month if I just get you to sign up. But for the most part, I think it should be a fun exercise.
Please follow me here and on Twitter. Check back often and see how it's going.
