Inventory

We will come to your home or business anywhere in the Kentuckiana Area; inventory your items. I take detailed digital pictures of each item as you tell me about the item and provide any documentation we (together) deem necessary. If you have notes that you have made about the items, this is often helpful.

On-Line Appraisal

We have on-line appraisal services available to help determine the value of your items as well as well qualified local resources for in depth physical inspections. If you are not sure of the value and you don't want to take it to a local antique or collectible dealer, this may be the perfect way to find the value of your item(s). Appraisal fees run from $10 - $50 or more depending on the services requested.

Possession of Items

We generally will take possession of the items to be auctioned during the contract period. Your items will be stored in a locked, security monitored warehouse until they are shipped (or returned to you).

This allows us to take more pictures of the items or describe the items further if there are questions from bidders during the auction. It also assures us that we can ship the items in a timely manner after the auction closes.

Other arrangements may need to be made for large or bulky items. Through mutual agreement, they may be picked up from your location by the buyer.

List on eBay

We will create and submit eBay listings for your item(s). These are actual advertisements that give a favorable description of your item and "market" it to the buying public. We use statistical tools that provide us a comparison of thousands of past eBay sales to determine the best time, category, options, opening bid, and reserve amount to assure your item(s) have the most visible presence in the marketplace to earn YOU the highest possible price. (Keep in mind that YOU determine what you are willing to accept for your item. We will NEVER sell your item for less than your minimum.)

However, eBay members are savvy customers. The only thing that builds trust in this community (as in others) is complete honesty in describing your items. Our reputation in the community is important to you when we are representing your items. Our 99.7% positive feedback score & Power Seller Status tells purchasers and sellers alike, that we will always provide them a fair & honest sale and will never mis-represent an item.

Collect and Ship

We do this part for you as well. We collect the money via check, credit cards, cash, money order or certified check. We will never ship the item until the funds have cleared the bank. We use PayPal for all our credit card transactions. PayPal charges $.30 plus 2.9% per transaction for their services. These fees are passed on to the consignor.

Itemized List and Final Settlement

Here's the best part... When the auction is closed, the item is payed for, the item has shipped, the buyer is happy with the item: you will receive an itemized list of your items sold (as well as those not sold) along with a check!

Items that are not sold may, according to your instructions, be returned, donated to charity, or discarded. Discarded items may incur a disposal charge.

If you want to create your own auctions, We can assist you. We will show you everything you need to know (and most say "and then some") to list your own sales items on eBay or other selling services.

Listings can be as simple or as complex as you care to make them. Above all, they should be attractive and be accurate. We will assist you every step of the way for as many auctions as you need. Then, even when you are on your own, you can call for assistance. An hourly fee is charged for this service.
